I know whom I am inclined to believe.
I really think Oprah felt she wasn’t getting the attention she deserved. So she used that tiny little incident - in which the woman didn’t immediately get a handbag down off the shelf - to spin a good yarn about how awful racism is. The truth of that incident doesn’t matter, she can use it for an object lesson and draw some attention to the “issue” of white-on-black racism.
And the company already “apologized”, and it’s owned by a friend of hers or something
Lying racists always play the race card - i.e. obamatollah, oprah, jackson, sharpie, holder....hell, the entire leftwing socialist/communist party.
Yeah, oops, don’t I feel stupid. I’ve never met a Swiss that didn’t speak perfect English either.

20 years ago I filed an EEOC complaint with the Feds when a Black woman was promoted over me after I had been given the position. I’m White. The EEOC officer was Black. The White witness to the event told me privately she lied to prevent any fall-out. Case dismissed.
EEOC guy told me I was out of line to even file and that it was a union matter. I have never belonged to a union. Black woman was union VIP.
P.S. Black woman and I are still friends.

Hold on now. IIRC Obama, Oprah and an entourage from Chicago flew to Switzerland to beg for the Olympics. This is revenge for being snubbed. Poor shop girl.
The only Swiss I found that I met that didnt speak English, or pretended not to, was a french speaking guy selling ice cream on the promenade in neuchatel. Snotty little cuss.
Store Clerk Denies Oprah’s Racism Story

The sales clerk who was accused of racism by Oprah Winfrey and prompted a national apology from Switzerland claims that Winfrey is lying about the now-famous story.
According to the Hollywood Reporter, the nameless women at the center of the firestorm told a local newspaper that as a result of the accusation, she has been thrust into a “nightmare” and now feels “powerless.”
“I don’t know why she is making these accusations. She is so powerful, and I am just a shop girl,” the sales clerk told the Swiss newspaper.
Didn’t Oprah, lie about a similar non happening a few years ago before another film of hers?
Isn’t it illegal to import crocodile leather products into the United States?
