Blacks self segregate as much as whites do. Blacks end up being around a lot more whites because we are the majority (at least at the moment). I worked many years and retired from a major public University with many black, hispanic white, oriental, you name it, we had it workforce. I actually enjoyed the diversity. However, after hours, blacks hung out with blacks, whites with whites, hispanics with hispanics, orientals with orientals, etc. It was only occasionally that there was social mixing off hours.
It’s just the nature of things to want to hang out with your own kind. One of the tightest groups to self segregate were the Lithuanians. They had their own social clubs and were very snobbish about sticking with their own kind. Too bad as I admired them. Boy were they all tall, and blond. Really tall, like 6 feet plus tall, even a lot of the women. (The University was near an old Lithuanian neighborhood in Chicago.)
Never have so few held such power. You’d think they were 75% instead of about 13%.
