Actually, I know that you’re right.

The Dems were VERY CLEVER in the past week. I heard 3 of their top people do what they did during the very early days of Lewinsky, which was to say the president screwed up and what happened CANNOT BE JUSTIFIED.

So our side figures we have the president on the run...so we run out and start yelling IMPEACHMENT...and we took the bait. Most of the country knows very little about these scandals, but they do hear crackpot-sounding Republicans yelling IMPEACHMENT. At that point, they turn and defend the president. Happened PERFECTLY in the 1990s (removal of Clinton from office never stood a chance, regardless of his felonies), and the Republicans have stepped into it again here.

So what should they have done. Easy. Put it on the Dems, ask them why they don’t have a problem with Benghazi, AP phone tapping, and IRS intimidation. But we don’t make them answer, and so they wind up beating us again...

This is one thing that the GOP needs to stop saying, NOW. Don't mention "Impeachment". It will then look partisan and the press WILL turn on republicans like hell has been unleashed.

In fact, shoot down the "I-word". Let the scandals keep coming, and coming, eventually some people will come to the conclusion that Obama is not a leader in any sense of the word.

In fact, his biggest defenders are now floating the "he didn't know anything" defense.

I say let them.

Have the dems actually go on record saying that the POTUS is a know-nothing incompetent boob.

In a way that is almost more satisfying. Watching all of the "Hope and Change" BS go crashing down like the Hindenberg.

If we take the Senate in 2014, he'll have nothing.
