Greatest coach of any sport, ever?
That’s a tall order, and it’s difficult to compare across different sports. I’d say he’s a standout in soccer and leave it at that.
John Wooden, Red Auerbach, Phil Jackson, Casey Stengel, Vince Lombardi, Geno Auriemma, Jose Mourinho, Bud Wilkinson, Toe Blake, Mike Krzyzewski, Pat Summitt, Scotty Bowman, to name a few.
It’s so hard to compare coaches across sports, but he’s up there without a doubt. To be as successful as he has been, for so long, in a turbulent prima-donna professional sports world like European football is an amazing achievement. This guy is the Phil Jackson or Red Auerbach of the Premier League.
