Zappa was the greatest rock 'n roll bandleader / guitar virtuoso ever. Period.

Actually Steve Wonder was pretty good when he was young. Same for Springsteen IMO, I kinda liked some of his early stuff but fame and fortune seemed to affect a change in each of them.

In my books Pink Floyd is tied for worst with The Moody Blues.

Aw gee... now I'm about to have a flashback to 1977...

Please, somebody put on some Van Morrison.

This is my favorite recording by his band. It was waxed under a pseudonym at a studio in Cucamonga, which was at the time a wide spot along Rte. 66 in San Bernardino County, Calif.

James Brown was a better band leader because he demanded it from his players. When they were on, they were tight.
