I always said that the party was over when someone put on Pink Floyd or The Doors. As for the Stones, few bands, if any, had as impressive a run of albums as they did from 68 to 75.

True. I have a couple of their albums. The best in my opinion was Some Girls (dating myself).

However, their early stuff wasn't that great (IMO).

Maybe a good analogy for me is the Who — I don't like their early stuff (60s) but their 70s music was superb. Maybe I just don't like the “60s” music that much.
