I never saw a young couple without children (outside of family) wanting to babysit for my children. It would strike me as odd behavior if a couple wanted to spend their time babysitting for other people’s children. That would be enough oddness for me to stay away.
I did a lot of research on people proposing to care for my sons. With social media and camera monitoring systems these days, parents have an easier time checking out babysitters and day care workers. Check ‘em all. We are living in odd times.
I think classroom streaming video monitoring available to parents on their laptops should be done now. Parents should be able to drop in and see what is going on in the classroom any time they want. There is no reason for teachers to have secret classrooms. It would cut out a whole lot of misbehavior.
My wife taught at a daycare for 6 months. During that time she found and reported 4 cases of rape. All were children under 13. One was a 13 yr old down syndrome girl. Another was an 18 month old baby. My wife discovered blood in her diaper while changing her.
In all cases the children were from broken families. Everyone needs to be careful and watch over our babies.
