Nothing wrong with planting a seed. If more people picked up their Bibles and started reading, studying and adhering to His teachings, the better off we will all be.

As far as leaving some things (Sodom, golden calf) out ... they are trying to make it appropriate for families to watch together and they seem to be using the most riveting stories in order to do it.

And we must remember the parable of the sower and the seeds and not forsake that mission with the position: We shall make no attempt to sow seeds unless the ground is perfect for them to grow. And in every bag of seeds there is some chaff (I grew up farming and know this, although the little packets for one’s garden has no ‘chaff’.
