From his 'hints' poem, I think I've a pretty good idea where it is - and it won't be easy to get there - it's a long way from home.
My bet though, is that there are a lot of people like me that can figure this one out - but, all of them will need a good metal detector - and a spade to dig it up. The trick is where to wave that detector around.
And up until a point, I did ok in NM, learning to be careful (except for that one time).
NM ain't all strip malls and a town 3 miles down the road, that's for sure.
I think the guy set up a Darwin test. ;)
NM is one of the most beautiful places I've ever lived, even if it did try to kill me. I've done most of my landscape painting of NM landscapes.

Spent 5 years in NM.
Would not return to live - not after living in CA!
Have some grandsons, with detection equipment in nearby CO, who might figure this out.
