IIRC, my former high school band teacher was in the snare line for the Madison Scouts in ‘75 or ‘76.

THAT was a pretty impressive snare line! You might like this...I was in the Navy in the mid-seventies, and they still let you have some individuality...I worked on the flight deck, so I made a stencil for the back of my flight deck jerseys and used black spray paint to put this on the jersey:

I suspect they wouldn't let me do that nowadays!
