Legendary quarterback Dan Marino fathered a secret lovechild with a junior network employee and paid her millions of dollars to keep it quiet, it emerged today.
The former Miami Dolphins star cheated on Claire, his wife of 28 years, with Donna Savattere, a production assistant at CBS Sports.

Thank you, Perdogg. Now my comment about Marino. Who cares? This is a personal matter between he and his wife. Remember how the media use to treat the few weeks before the Super Bowl? I do... interesting interviews of the coaches, fascinating tours of the state in which the SB was held... heck, even great new recipes for your SB party. Now what? Media outrage over supposed antler spray, questioning Michael if he is really retarded, showing outrage over Flacco using the word, “retarded” and now this fluff. Meanwhile... the real story is how taxes are driving us under, our God given rights are being squashed, etc... Those are the real stories that affect our lives. An affair that Marino has doesn’t affect me one little bit. That being said... Go Ravens!

Mrs. Marino’s brother is a morning drive disc jockey in Pittsburgh. He drops his brother-in-law’s name at every station break if he can manage it. Kinda creepy to realize now he must have known about this for eight years.
In the real world, I believe that Benjamin Franklin and his wife raised a bastard son that Franklin had fathered.

Marino’s sister (I think his youngest one) is married to Larry Richert. Claire Marino (I forget her maiden name) was from the South Hills. I grew up in S. Oakland...and though this doesn’t phase me (he supported the child—no abortion), I’m suprised that it’s a “big”’story. I knew the family well (my mom was very good friends with his maternal grandma, Jul. FWIW, Claire and Dan adopted two little girls (from China I believe) after their bio kids (one autistic) got older.
