My husband and I, both Texans, were at the car rental counter at a California Airport....my husband for his drivers license number. He verbally gave the number, a typical trust issue in Texas.... and she says “To-To, you ain’t in Kansas anymore, I’ll need to SEE that license”

No sale regarding your suggestion they don't ask for drivers licenses at Texas car rental agencies...Total BS.

The moral? We are as surprised at cynicism as you are at openness.

Ya would have received the same response from white woman.

Ya see it's not cynicism for a car rental company to ask for your freaking drivers license, just like they do in Texas...LOL!

It's simply common sense...This isn't 1950s America, regardless of where ya call home...

They do ask for DL at Texas agencies, I never said otherwise.

In Texas, however, if you know the number, give the number, they don’t neded to SEE the frickin’ number.

That the agent was black, was highlighted, because, well, if she had not been black she w..never mind...

My story was intended as humor AWhole.
