This is illustrative of a growing problem:
China.
China is protectionist. We ignore it, while it is eating our lunch.
China is different. It needs different laws, and different policies. Equal treatment is (not) what is needed.

Who would have ever thought that Land Rovers and Jagwires could be even LESS reliable than they already are?

What is the problem? Both are pretty crappy with socialist labor, they can’t make them any worse.

China is now the worlds biggest car market with sales last year totalling 18.5million vehicles.Shouldn't they be making hybrids and electric cars to save the planet? lol

(I can neither confirm or deny that; even if I could, I couldn't - it's classified.)
There’s no reason to think that an Indian company would specifically want to run its business in Britain.
Business is business. Britain or China, who cares?

Wow, sure wont be the same car! Damn straight.
It'll have a much higher build quality.

Hey I have a 2006 Jag bought barely used. It has been a really good car. Maintenance is expensive as heck but have only had a few minor things break.

Manufacturer says 25,000 UK jobs are not under threat until the Chinese facility is up and running. Then they are gone, lads, and they won't be coming back.

I see real cause for alarm here. China's heavy industry on the rise the west waning. It isn't sustainable, for us anyway. There are only 3 ways to create wealth. Mine it, Make it or Grow it. We are giving away one leg of the industrial stool - the most important leg to a Communist regime. I guarantee bribes were given.
Others see humor, crazy.

At some point, China will flex its muscle and nationalize all these companies.
