9:30 PM Academy Award Theatre. April 20, 1946. CBS net origination, AFRTS rebroadcast. "The Great McGinty". The story of a racketeer who became the governor, and then decided to go straight. AFRTS program name: "Playhouse Twenty-Five." See cat. #93548 for a network, sponsored version of this program. Brian Donlevy. 25 minutes.

10 PM Suspense. January 10, 1948. CBS net. "The Kandy Tooth". Sustaining. The story of the return of the "Fat Man!" A sequel to "The Maltese Falcon," with "Joel Cairo," Wilmer's younger brother, and other characters from the film. This time, it's a search for a treasure worth more than the "Maltese Falcon!" William Spier speaks after the drama. The script was previously heard on, "The Adventures Of Sam Spade." Hi Everyone!

We had prolonged power failure starting the night of the hurricane, which lasted for 5 days. The storm itself was terrifying. I thought the windows would crash in, but the house held up well. Trees down all over the area, including on rooftops... The one road we use all the time finally opened today!

I tried to get a hotel, but they were totally booked. Many thanks to our daughter for inviting us to stay there. It was so cold at that time.
