Good point about younger voters. Obama did surprisingly poorly among the 18-29 age group that was so solidly behind him in 2008. I think I saw an exit poll saying he got only 56% of the vote in that age group. Romney won handily among older voters, too -- despite all the Democratic "Medi-scare" nonsense.

I'll tell you what's happening here, folks. This country is basically waging demographic warfare, where people in age cohorts and socio-economic groups with low unemployment rates are voting for Democrats simply to ensure that they stay employed -- regardless of the implications for the rest of America.

This is exactly what we're seeing in Europe, where people in their 40s and 50s live comfortably in protected jobs even as the unemployment rate exceeds 30% or 40% for younger people who simply can't break into "the system."

The unemployed who used to work hard will go for conservatism. The unemployed who never really worked and have only sucked the gov’t teat will not. They cannot be weaned in any large numbers, and their numbers have grown too large to control now.
