I swore off television several years ago, but have the occasional desire to watch important events unfold in real time - such as major elections. Anyone have a recommendation on where I can watch results come in on the web? I'd enjoy a couple of Leftist (MSM) sites as well so I can see heads exploding.
Does FOX News offer a live thread online?
The Blaze.com I believe.
I’m talking about live news coverage, not website postings. (Not that FR isn’t an excellent source ;)
Probably most network TV websites - ABC, CBS, NBC, Fox
All cable news websites - CNBC, FoxNews, MSNBC, CNN, al-Jazeera, CNN Headlines.
PBS website.
CSPAN website.
BBC website.
etc.
Of course, many of them will NOT start the live feeds until the polls start closing.
All the TV news websites will be running a scoreboard, with commentary, most will probably even have clips or even full streams from what they’re showing on TV. Since they never break for commercials during this kind of stuff they’ve got no incentive not to put most of their TV content on the web.
Thanks for this thread. I’m in the same boat you are. No TV.
Thank you for your service to our country. For not buying the rope they want to hang us with!
My advise is to go to bed early, and next morning turn on the radio.
I will probably hook up the laptop to our HDTV (we do NOT have cable TV)....so I can download whatever we want to watch. Then, there is also XM Radio (FOX) to listen to, and MSNBC when we want to gloat....hopefully.
In the past couple of elections I have found the Salem Radio Network to give really outstanding coverage. It can be streamed from most of their larger stations.
I think VA is among the first polls to close, that’s at 7p EST. Doubt any polls close earlier than than, ‘cept maybe Dixon Notch?
FR will be impossible to get into, so DO look elsewhere. My backup will probably be the local radio station that carries Chris Plante, Rush, Sean, Mark (www.wmal.com)
I think we need to get a “picture in picture” app to follow Chrissy MAtthews.
justin.tv .. pirate live feeds of cnn fox etc. wouldn’t feel bad about it if you are using it as a one time thing.
But it's so much fun to actually see liberal commentators dressed in funeral black and bursting into uncontrolled sobs!
All the News outlets, ABCNNBCBSAPUPIFOX have up to the minute data, plus there’s http://www.breakingnews.com/
There’s also Drudge.com
My advice is to just go to bed early. There will not be any meaningful results until after midnight Eastern time.
Then if the results aren’t to your liking, just go back to bed........;^)
Most TV stations have websites that live feed their local news, and I would think many of them will have an extended version tomorrow night.
I found during the debates CSPAN was the best streaming, no buffering, or freezing...however they will have call in segments, with many obnoxious, ignorant callers.
wmal.com
The Blaze offers a 14 day free trial.
C-SPAN ?
I am SOOOOOOO regretting I won’t have the pleasure of watching Keith Olbermann’s head explode.
And my service is STILL an ongoing battle - against telemarketers, mailers, and even my own Internet service provider, trying to sell me this sewage.
This time instead of Carville with trash bucket over his head, we’ll have Axlerod with a bald face....
...yes...to compliment his role in this administation...
vipbox.eu
There is a little box on the last row that say 'TV Box'. Should be able to grab a feed there.
cspan
Uhmmmm....Free Republic? /S
There will be several election threads tomorrow.
For DU, Kos and others we’ll election coverage the day after..
I was thinking more on the lines of live streaming coverage, t.v.-style, but on the internet.
Just trying to be funny. It’s Monday, so I have all week to hit my stride....
Seriously, FOX, ABCNBCCBSMSNBC, FOX business, your local AM stations, CSPAN, etc...
Radio is a given. But I like pictures ;{)
hi fwdude
I found last night http://www.c-span.org/ worked for me to watch romney live in morrisville pa. I’m sure they’ll have election coverage.
as someone on thread mentioned they do have segments of call in people, but you can simply mute the sound for a bit and still watch.
Ain’t got no TV? Can you wait until Wednesday?
We have scheduled nationwide riots, which should
reach your neck of woods too, when you will be
given opportunities to acquire a whole assortment
of material goods, TVs among them, all free of charge.
I'm in the same boat... and I hope it is named THE VICTORY!

Damn, NCIS is going to get pre-empted again.
LOL!!
Ironically, I’ve scheduled target practice for Wednesday. What a coincidence.
