THEN--KATRINA:
Due to the topography and the extent of the flood damage to the Lower Ninth Ward of New Orleans-- rescue and aid delivery was painstakingly slow.
Days went by before the rescues were completed and meaningful aid arrived in the Lower Ninth Ward....
The DEMS and the press loudly castigated the President and his administration for not waving some magic wand over this situation.
NOW -- SANDY:
The death and widespread destruction on Staten Island is getting very little exposure press through the recovery stages of the SANDY storm disaster.
....YES---there are similar limitations hindering the delivery of basic aid -- topography and extensive local storm damage.
These folks are hurting and feeling quite abandoned; awaiting the first basic expressions of post-disaster aid-- e.g. food and clothing.
After Obama walked through the Joisey side with Gub'nah Christie...
--AND--
While Hizzoner Nanny-Mike insists on promoting a recreational event in the Big Apple:
The NYC Marathon will run--"Come H*ll or (more) High Water".

Dick Morris is really a very astute political analyst. He literally saved Clinton's presidency and managed to get him re-elected by pushing him to the right. IMHO Clinton was more fiscally responsible than Bush by a mile. Bush probably would have pushed to expand the welfare state, but Clinton actually signed off on welfare reform.
Obama has done everything that Morris would have recommended he not do. Has America changed that much in 4 years that we would put up with this socialist race baiter for another 4 years?
I think Dick Morris is right. I think all the swing states (except maybe Ohio where there is massive voter fraud going on) will go to Romney. I also believe that at least a couple of blue states may turn red as well.
If Obama is re-elected then America as we knew it is over. We will have become Venezuela.
Then they can count on ZERO help from Zero. We need to request that all our donations for hurricane relief be directed towards Staten Island.
New Jersey lost me when they sent the non-Union electricians packing. Piss be upon them.
Let Obama and Kripy Kreme Kristie and their Union Mob cronies rebuild New Jersey and let the private sector and the local churches rebuild Staten Island.
We are going to find out!
I'm stunned when my wife relays her conversations with liberals and they are totally clueless about Benghazi. She has tried to explain the disgraceful behavior of obama and the typical response is along the lines of "I don't want to talk about it". Also, how many of the 20 somethings get their news from comedy shows like The Daily Show.
One thought has occurred to me about the end result from this election. Even if we win big we will still have at least 43% of the country against us. Why not take a serious look at secession. obama has done more to destroy the American Empire than any foreign enemy could have. The debt bomb will preclude rebuilding our military. Why not just admit that we will never work for a common goal and go our separate ways?
A Confederation of American states, where the successors join together as soverign states and are autonomous can work. My idea is...form a new currency tied to the Swiss Franc and have a confederate congress that meets periodically. States will be directly responsible for their own debt and not be able to go to a central gubmint to steal from the other states. Also, The confederation can meet and vote to remove states from the confederation if they get too stupid.
When big natural disasters happen in NYC it is always the non-Manhattan boroughs that get shafted. Since the Upper West and West sides of Manhattan were not hit then the plutocrats who live there don’t care.
Don't let the facts get in the way of a good rant.
So you do agree they are privately owned and the government did not take them! That was my point.
