There are some really dumb hunters out there.
I havent been out in the woods for a long time but when I lived in a small farming town some of the hunters coming up from Pittsburg were downright scary. Theyd load up with cases of whiskey as well as ammo. Some local farmers painted COW on the sides of their cattle. I always tried to be aware of the first day of a hunting season but forgot about duck season one year. The season starts with the sunrise. Sunrise caught me on a swamp road and my station wagon took bird shot.
Either they thought the car was a duck or they waited for sunrise with fingers on the trigger. At the crack of dawn triggers were pulled.
Even if it had been a skunk, why was he trying to shoot it?
Because skunks are pests they cause all kinds of trouble and do damage.
Why shoot a skunk in the first place; leave it alone unless it gets close enough to be a problem. If it’s that close, it probably isn’t a little girl.
What a dumbass, good luck to the kid.
Does this guy even know what a skunk looks like? How could he mistake a 9 year old child for a cat-sized animal?
You forgot the sarcasm sign, I hope.
