I do agree in a way--in '96 I was ecstatic the Yanks lost the first 2 games to the Braves--then I think they swept the next 4.

But Verlander pitches game 3 right?, and supp. the Tigers pitcher in game 4 is good too. --------------

Who's that swinging and missing again? It's Robbie Cano, didn't ya know! Maybe they're OK in the reg. season, but postseason? The Grandy-Man is 3 for 25.. A goose egg in the run column for the Yanks at home. Must have really been fun for the fans who paid big $$ for seats. On Sat., the park quickly emptied in the late innings...there was the comeback though, but they lost in extra innings.

It was so...quiet.

Don’t go putting champagne on ice for the Tigers just yet. I seem to recall the playoffs in 2004 when the Red Sox were down three games to none. There’s a reason we watch the games.
