Homosexuals are only about 2% of the population. Logically, if they are present at a public school (and not all public schools will have a homosexual on staff), they will in all probability be a gross minority.
However, acknowledging that it is inappropriate for any adult to derive sexual pleasure from spanking a minor, the best course is to never give a government employee authority to spank your children.
This is also not a 100% deterent, because nothing prevents a relative or acquaintance of a child from also spanking the child to derive sexual pleasure.
However, it will greatly reduce the risk.
Limiting spankings in that Texas district to be administered by an adult to a child of the same gender was set in place to reduce the risk.
The recent decision has increased the risk.
This decision is not a victory for conservative parents.
This is a victory for government employees.

I deal with what is, not what should be. The risk for harm is greater now, and greater STILL (by at least 2%) the way things ARE, on my planet. On your planet, increasing the risk by ONLY 2% is no increase about which to be alarmed, because it really shouldn’t be the way it is, even though it is.
Right?
