Romney, GOP Establishment stage a coup at the RNC (screw you Tea Partiers!)

I’m not trying to be overly dramatic, but if this isn’t a coup, I don’t know what is. For background, Mary Beth, Ian, Steve, and Stacy have been all over this story about the Mittster’s henchmen attempting to change the rules at the RNC in order to facilitate a power grab by Team Mitt. The result of the Mittster’s new rules will be to centralize power in the hands of the Republican Establishment in Washington at the expense of the grass roots. It will also have the effect of making a primary challenge to Romney from the right in 2016 (if he wins) more difficult, given that he will control the party apparatus to an unprecedented degree given his new rules.

Next up Jeb Bush. Outsiders need not apply. Obviously, the grass roots are no longer needed.

Screw YOU GOP

After Sarah forms her Conservative Party and the GOP dies a horrible death, all you GOP-E Moderates are not going to be allowed in our party.

What I'm hearing from Tampa is that this was a reaction to the planned shenanigans by the Paul people, not conservatives in general.

For what it's worth.

“How is this any different from Nancy Pelosi’s “deem and pass” gambit in 2010?”

It’s not.

“More importantly, how are we supposed to support a party and candidate who demonstrate such utter contempt for their voters?”

I don’t.

“If anyone has an answer, please let me know because I can’t support a party or candidate for whom this kind of behavior is acceptable.”

This lust for power in 2016 may have cost them the opportunity in 2012.

We won this battle. There will be another and another but if we remain united, we will win. The GOP-e will go down.

"This lust for power in 2016 may have cost them the opportunity in 2012."

Well, if you are right, the miscalculation is fatal for the country. After four more years of Obama, any Presidential election will just be for show and will more resemble the country shown in the "Hunger Games."

So much for uniting the party and generating enthusiasm for the candidate.

The first thing that came to mind when I saw the movie, “The Hunger Games” was what will soon become of America under Obama. When people ask me what the movie was about I tell them, it about Obama’s vision for America.

It will either way. Math will prevail over both of these corrupt organizations and the Washington government they share.

Sorry, but this is not a coup. It would have been a coup if, say, Sarah Palin got the nomination even though the delegate counts indicated Romney would get the nod.

While the Primaries gave us what we have for the top slot, there is nothing stopping us and the Tea Party working to get good people in at every other level of government.

Just winning the WH is a hollow victory if we leave all these commies and RINOs in office.

Yes, but it would be nice for a change not to have to hold your nose while voting

No, this wasn’t a coup.

And it wasn’t because of Ron Paul or his mob zombies (that’s just the convenient excuse for what they did).

This was an ouster and rendering into irrelevance, ANY challenge to the Ruling Class oligarchs in power in D.C. Grassroots Christian Conservatives (ala Palin) were the targets and now rules are in place to prevent us from having any influence or power in national politics.

Plain and simple.

Romney is doing Obama’s dirty work - serving as a useful idiot, which is why he was chosen to be the nominee to lose to Obama.

Romney and the Ruling Class hate us as much as the MarxoFascist Obama drones do. They’re allies in power. Yesterday is hard core proof of this.

That is why Conservatives are the shared target, and not Obama at this convention.

We are under enemy occupation. If we want to survive what they intend to do to us, we better begin thinking and acting like it.

Playing in a Ruling Class rigged game according to their rules is not going to save us from destruction.

Romney does not need “we, the people”; he only needs the Washington elite and independents.

Needs repeating. Exactly this. There has been remarkable inroads at the grassroots level from School Board to state reps/senators and governors across this great nation plus both houses of congress. This is a direct result of the T.E.A. Party influence. This is just the beginning - ye of little faith. Keep up the good fight, keep electing conservatives from the bottom up. Woo hoo. Drag Romney/Ryan over the finish line in grand style. Let not the small incremental improvements be ignored. This is not an easy task, never was and never will be. Keep on marching folks.
