If Human Beings (Homo Sapiens) and Neanderthals did not have babies, how did they reproduce and how are we still on this Earth? Can no one out there in editor land write a proper headline in the English language?

I had a similiar thought. The headline would have benefited from an adverbial “together” at the end, but I knew what they meant.
“Neanderthals did not have babies, how did they reproduce”
Lets call them “Pups”, or “cubs” then. Just not babies.

Saying “did not interbreed” would have been so much clearer.
