A girl aged 16 was rescued by Prince William after being swept out to sea trying to save her sister. Rescuers said her sister, aged 13, had been swept away on a riptide while body-boarding and the girl had swam out to help her. But she got into difficulties as she became exhausted and was close to drowning when she was winched to safety by an RAF rescue helicopter captained by Prince William. The RAF said it was one of its 'fastest and shortest' operations, taking 38 seconds to arrive at the scene at Silver Bay, Anglesey, north Wales.

Prince William did more in one day than Obummer has done all year.
Totally agree. Although from the looks of things I don’t think Harry is Charlie’s kid, so he’s got even more going for him. ;-)
Excellent article with a very happy ending. But I’m guessing that the two sons turned out well not because of the Prince of Wales, but in spite of him.
And Prince Harry has done more for children than Michelle will ever do in her lifetime.
Actually Harry is said to resemble the Spencer side of his family.
Both of these young men are admirable, IMO.
You’re forgetting that fateful night Obama, armed with only a sharp stick, single-handedly sought out and killed Osama. It was in all the papers.
“Prince William did more in one day than Obummer has done all year.”
I cannot imagine the O-dork-O even beginning to qualify in any aircraft whatsoever. When aviating, quotas and affiramative action don’t play a part...one actually has to fly the darned thing. And a helicopter, as we all know, is an unstable contraption with thousands of parts - all trying to fly off in a different direction.
How many girls can honestly say that a prince came to their rescue and saved their life?
Fairy tales are basically true. I should use that as my tagline.
The problem being he’s already married.
He’s been flying rescue missions for quite a while. It was reported that on the day he and the Princess (Kate) announced their upcoming wedding, he flew a rescue mission that same day.
I agree. Charles’ infidelities and other perceived shortcomings do not negate the fact that he was an attentive father.
Don’t give the young ladies in Wales any ideas... :)
Every time I read one of these articles in the Daily Mail, or other British paper, I’m appalled anew by the hatred and resentment so many British people feel towards the Royal Family. Talk about class envy—we Americans ain’t got nothin’ on the Brits.
I think there is a hardcore republican element in the UK but look at the huge turnout for the Diamond Jubilee events.
problem for whom???? Not Kate...she’s gorgeous and he handsome and they are young and vibrant and full of life and fun. Such a departure from parents and grandparents.
True, Harry’s got a similar coloring of Diana’s brother, but regardless of the denials all around, he also resembles James Hewitt. At any rate, he’s the most interesting royal they have!
Isn’t he the one that they didn’t want to be involved in Iraq/Afghanistan, but he TOLD them he was going?
I believe so. We could certainly use some politicians like him in the states, instead of the nut-less wonders we currently have.
I totally agree... They may have socialism issues over there like us, but at least some with power over there still have some balls.
I think that was Prince Harry who did go to Afghanistan until some Aussie tabloid blew his cover and they rushed him out of there.
Thank you for the update on that.. I bet he was really peed off :/ We need ‘high power’ people like him back in the states :/
My two daughters would love to join you. They are addicted to anime and mangas.
:^)
I will give warning. No matter who comes here, nor how long they ‘want’ to stay.. It takes lots of patience... about 80% of those that come here thinking they will stay for at least 2 years, leave in 3-6 months :p
I, myself, love it here :)
