Very interesting stuff - I have done some work on UAVs in the past, including one we armed with an M249 machinegun. My commander at the time wasn't happy - he was sure that it violated some law, somehow.

Enjoy reading about the real stuff..the flying saucer stuff is fun but should be left to Forbidden Planet or This Island Earth and that other '50s genre.

That aircraft for sale on e-bay is real, and was part of the research and experimentation of the military, in its day.
From the listing, it never got out of ground effect.
I guess you've heard of the V-173 "Zimmer Skimmer"?
