Wrong.
Clint lived far above the glitter of Hollywood - on all levels - because he was a 'real' person and never became part of the glitterati.
He lived far away from Hollywood - in Carmel-By-The-Sea for many years - even served as mayor. He sent his kids to a small Catholic school. Quietly helped out many people in many ways - things YOU and most everyone else never heard or knew about.
He also helped out the community - for one example: there is a beautiful old monastery in Carmel. Spanish architecture - long green lawns and gardens. Developers were going to buy it, tear it down and build - well, you get the drfit. The town wasn't going to stop it.
So Clint bought it and deeded it in such a way as it would remain a monastery -
I could tell you much more about Clint - the REAL person - (Carmel was a small town - @4,000. I lived there.) But I won't take the time.
Just to say - maybe some people shouldn't judge people they don't know?
My comment only relates to the power of celebrity. The other side of Clint is inconsequential to the fact that celebrity endorsements tend to mean a lot to the masses. I am certain Clint is all that and a piece of butter, but for most people he is Dirty Harry, etc.
