"correlating low sunspot activity with increased volcanic activity on earth."

Actually that sounds backward. Wouldn't low sunspot activity (less turbulent Sun) mean less volcanic activity?

I know. In the article below, they contribute it to a lag. I think there is something at work we haven't figure out yet, since SP minimums can last many years.
