(Krauthammer)
It's astonishing. He doubled down. All he had to say is, 'We got it wrong the first time.' The British ambassador, today, said that the bust that's in his residence, the one that was returned when Obama came into office exactly as I had written -- 100% as I had written.
So not being able to deny it, he pretends that it never happened and he says the idea that the bust was returned is false. And then he talks about the reason that the bust was returned was because of antipathy. I never talked about antipathy. He should have honorably have said, 'We made a mistake. ..... that would have been the end of [the] story.
That would have been honorable, but you don't expect that out of this communications office in this White House.

But of course, they are the smartest bunch of people ever assembled into the WH, starting from their big guy. And it is impossible that they could have ever 'made a mistake' as Charles Krauthammer suggested them say.
Question: In more than three and a half years of Obama reign, does anybody remember any official from this admin admit they made a mistake?
They tell so many lies that they forget the lie they’ve previously told, and can’t keep their stories straight. But of course the press ignores it all.
Nope
But they were busted this time
The Obama Administration lied? Say it isn’t so.
They know 90% of the media will not report any lies or contradictions, so Obama’s PR staff is very arrogant and sloppy.
Every single time.
Funny thing is, this is old news, it was returned a long time ago. Why is just now Charles and the news are speaking of it.
Very sad to say the media is nothing more than a propaganda arm and so many still do not understand this.
Remember what that”Presidential Historian”said to Don Imus:”Obama Is Probably The Most Intelligent Man To Ever Inhabit The Oval Office”>Imus then asked him what his(Obama’s)IQ was?Mr. Beschloss replied that he didn’t know, but it’s really HIGH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Welcome to the Obama Ministry of Truth where new lies are fashioned everyday.
Krauthammer is an “inside-the-beltway” dipsh*t. He says something clever once in a while, an we’re supposed to be impressed?
Pfft!
“Honorable” - excellent word.....
If I recall correctly there was speculation that the bust's return was spurred by Obama's father's specific dislike of Churchill, not "antipathy towards the British."
What really happened? Krauthammer is right to point out the lies by the White House, but he ignored the important question: Why was the bust returned? Did the British ask for it back, was the loan intended to be just for the duration of the Bush Administration, or did Obama direct his staff to return the bust?
This BC charade is of course another case in point ... along with strange Social Security documents. His "autobiography," which it is apparent he has never completely read, is fake.
I know who Krauthammer is. Dr. Krauthammer ought to ask, "Who's Obama?"

It was based on the story that Zero’s grandfather was tortured by the British.
Turns out this is another LIE contained in the fictional biography (not autobiography as it was ghost written) DREAMS FROM MY POSSIBLE FATHER.
The bust was returned was symbolic of Obama’s anti-colonial attitude.
Remember that the MSM has to get any story about the White House approved (and presumably rewritten by) the White House press office. NY TIMES surprisingly revealed that fact last week.
Briefly, Romney in the UK mentions that he is looking forward to returning the bust of Churchill to the oval office. Someone from the WH, Plouffe says, "The story from several years ago that Obama returned the Churchill bust is a complete falsehood. Obama moved Churchill upstairs to the WH residence to make room for Lincoln, a true Obama hero, but we did not return a bust of Churchill to the British Embassy."
Krauthammer has to dig a bit but does get the British Embassy to confirm that the Oval Office bust of Churchill, loaned to the WH and worth several hundred thousand dollars now resides in the office of some senior British official in DC.
After the first lie becomes “inoperative” the WH changes the story to say that there is another Churchill bust (given to the US in the ‘60s) in the White House residence. The WH
“curator” removed the Oval Office bust routinely as Obama was coming into office. Obama had nothing to do with this.
This lie did not last long so the WH changed it to, “the Churchill bust was on loan while our copy of the bust was being repaired” and/or “the bust was just on loan to Pres. GW Bush and the British wanted it back.”
Later it comes out that the British specifically offered to continue the loan of this highly valuable and politically significant artwork to President Obama but that he specifically turned them down.
So, over three years after it was first reported, and after Romney makes a point of it in England, the WH resurrected this old, old story in order to completely deny that it happened. After a series of lies have failed, the WH is attacking the messenger, Krauthammer, for his antipathy and veiled racism.
Dipsh*ts have no right calling others what they are.
Romney, in a speech earlier in the week, said he would return Churchill's bust to the Oval Office. It was loaned to Bush by the British after 9/11 and he placed it in the Oval Office.
Obama, upon oath of office, almost immediately packed it up and sent it back to the British. It was covered widely by the media and has been cited numerous times.
So, Krauthammer includes the incident in his weekly column this past Friday and you call him a dipsh*t, dipsh*t?
Wow. you are an uninformed dipsh*t.
Thank you for the concise breakdown of the story.
Just my opinion.
Because Romney made a speech and said that when he is President, the Bust will be returned to the Oval Office.
Then the official white house machinery (not Obama’s campaign, but people who are paid for with our tax dollars) came out and called him a liar, claimed the story had been debunked, and showed a picture of a DIFFERENT bust in a different part of the white house.
And they haven’t apologized. They did “correct the record” in a way that most people will never know about.
My point is this event is not about Romney, or should not be about him. If it is important now should it have not been important 3 years ago when it happen? Many did not know this occurred and that is because the main stream media ignored it.
Basically Romney has noting to do with the story in reality yet look how it is being gamed instead of it having been reported as it should have been years ago. But then when you try to protect (Obama/Administration) vice doing ones job of reporting news you become A tool, which is what propaganda means, a tool of the Government.
The good thing is many more Americans see through this now as compared to years ago, I hope more than a enough do.
Thanks. I think you are right.
More info in this Telegraph article from 2009:
...Churchill has less happy connotations for Mr Obama than those American politicians who celebrate his wartime leadership. It was during Churchill's second premiership that Britain suppressed Kenya's Mau Mau rebellion. Among Kenyans allegedly tortured by the colonial regime included one Hussein Onyango Obama, the President's grandfather....
A British Embassy spokesman said: "The bust of Sir Winston Churchill by Sir Jacob Epstein was uniquely lent to a foreign head of state, President George W Bush, from the Government Art Collection in the wake of 9/11 as a signal of the strong transatlantic relationship.
"It was lent for the first term of office of President Bush. When the President was elected for his second and final term, the loan was extended until January 2009.
"The new President has decided not to continue this loan and the bust has now been returned. It is on display at the Ambassador's Residence."
