I saw a woman take her four year old daughter to Hostel. I was horrified to see the girl watching very intently when the villain brought a blow torch to a poor guy’s eye.
Ever see the Hills Have Eyes 2? My boyfriend called me right after he saw it, there was a family sitting in front of him during the movie, with five kids ranging in age from 5 months to about 12 or so years. Then at Doom, there was a guy with 2 kids behind us. a baby in a carrier and a pre-schooler, the preschooler was terrified and this guy just sat there watching the movie, and letting his kid cry.
I saw something similar when Aliens came out. A woman in a row to my front had her 2 young children with her, a small boy and girl. The girl was roughly the age of the character “Newt” when the Alien “Mother” was chasing her around and pulling up floor plates.
The little girl was crying and whimpering in abject terror while her brother and “mother”( if you want to call her that) watched in morbid fascination. I sure hope the mother like staying up nights, but I somehow doubt she concerned herself about her children's well being. I was disgusted
