Seau died of a self-inflicted gunshot wound to the chest.

just a crazy theory - maybe he dealing with brain issues and wanted to save it his head from trauma so his brain could be examined.

So sad! So hard to believe, too. I just saw Junior at the San Diego Trojan Club dinner a couple of weeks ago. He looked great and made some very inspirational remarks. Hopefully more info will come out on what caused him to do this; I would like to understand it better.

Maybe he had wife or girlfriend problems. I think that is why he drove his car off the road a couple years ago. I don’t understand it. A guy like him could always find another girlfriend.

How very sad. A standout linebacker as a Trojan and even better in the NFL.

That is a shame, Junior seemed a solid guy. Who knows what personal difficulties he may have been experienceng.

These guys seem expert at parlaying millions earned while playing into a financial Chernobyl.

If it’s a suicide and the autopsy shows brain problems like Henry had the NFL is in big trouble. That would make it exactly why they’re being sued by former players. It’s getting scary really. At some point I might have to feel guilty for being a fan.

I wonder if he left a note? Him not shooting himself in the head telling to me. If it is from brain injury the NFL as we know it is not the same anymore I think.

Look what happened to boxing once Ali started having problems, it’s a niche sport now....at one time boxing was probably the most popular sport in this country, even into the 1970s.

Except nobody knew when he was taking those hits that they were causing permanent brain damage. In fact right about the time he entered the league is when the NFL released a report claiming concussions caused no permanent damage. He was lied to, not really his choice then.

I watched them LIVE on Fox. Several family members are at his house in Oceanside. To say they’re devasted and in shock are unstatements. Junior has left so many loved ones behind.
