Everybody can see that you would vote for an old sneaker if it had an "(R)" next to its name. I'm more picky, but that's my option, you know.
I want a Chief Executive who has the values I think a Chief Executive needs to run this country properly. Respect and Love for the Constitution and the intent of the Founders. Fiscal responsibility in the form of drastically reduced federal spending, and thus lower federal taxes. A strong international hand that helps our allies and punishes our enemies. Strong support for the military. Strong support for individual initiative rather than entitlements and handouts. Strong commitment to protecting our borders. An end to protected classes and special privileges. And so on.
Obummer is a disaster for America. Another four years of him will continue and extend the damage he's doing.
But Romney is only faintly better. Really. Look beyond your precious "(R)" and see that he's just another liberal, and kind of a weird one at that.
That's why I'm not excited about him. I wish Palin had run, or that Gingrich had done better. Oh well. Better luck for me -- and America -- next time.
