Not only was I the last chosen for teams, but the one they fought over who HAD to take me.
Not so great days.
Now I have neighbors trying to kill my dog by throwing bones over the fence. And I can’t find a job after 3 yrs. unemployed. Sucks to be me.

I cherish my bike crash, rope swing, rock fight and fireworks scars.
What fun is life without an occasional ambulance ride to the ER?

How about, on Halloween, you could go as far as you could as long as you were home by 8:30?

I won a Frisbee from Engineer Bill at the Grand Opening of a Shopping Bag Grocery Store back in the early 60’s.
My buddy won a Scooter, really pissed me off.

How about the chalky candy cigarettes?
To: FedsRStealingOurCountryFromUs
Those sucked, but I did like the Chewing Gum Cigars.
Truth be told, the Chocolate Cigarettes were my fave.
I think they were made out of semisweet chocolate.
It's a wonder we survived our youth. /s I used to play Army with a battery operated M-1 that looked like the real thing. Also had a Tripod Mounted battery operated 50 cal Machine Gun, a Tommy Gun and a German Luger cap gun made out of metal. From three feet away it looked like the real thing. My Dad wouldn't let me play with the Dummy Grenade he got from my Uncle though. I was the go to guy running the Toy Weapon Armory in my neighborhood.

I favored the chalky white ones that came in box with an image of a camel on it. In the summertime pushup pops were a favorite treat. To entertain ourselves we slide down steep grassy hillsides on large pieces of cardboard and dam up a small creek with mud and rock to create a shallow “swimming pool”. On really hot days we’d dig out little bits of tar from the edge of the road for chewing gum. Ah, those were the days!
