In Mrs. Scoutmaster's case, it was (truthfully, here) more along the lines of her mumbling something about not worrying about having any uneventful days for the rest of her life. She may have had some uneventful days, but many.
I don't know that she looks forward to eventful days with as much vigor as in her earlier years, though, poor girl.
I think I understand this. I have previously stated that I find weekends exciting because I never know whether I well be steeple-jacking, spelunking, or working as an electrician or plumber, or some other equally exciting adventure, and that's just here at my own house.
