I wouldn't call it pandering. It's a teachable moment - and not just for Santorum. He'll find out soon enough, that he leaped to several serious and erroneous conclusions, and did so on a national stage. Careless, at best.
Certainly a teachable moment, definately several miscalculated leaps..... and absolutely an attempt to pander to the left and the leftist media.
