Prayers up that he will see the love of God for him and his wife and that he will be enabled by the wisdom and understanding of the Holy Spirit to take whatever action he needs to take, each day, and that he has the peace of Christ which surpasses all understanding. I ask this in Jesus’ Name, Amen.

Prayers up. Your friend is being hit from many directions at once. May God grant him strength, and bring him through this with that added strength to share with others. God bless your friend.

Lord, I don’t know this man but you do. I ask you to keep your hand on him, and bring him through. Protect him from harm, and bring healing to him and his family. Show yourself to him in the dark days. I ask it in Jesus’ name.

Divorce is certainly sanctioned by the Bible in the case of adultery.
I say this because I was unaware of the fact and went through some harsh trials and tribulations because of my ignorance years ago.
I learned the hard way that when a whole family is ignorant of Scripture, there is little hope during life’s inevitable times of pain and suffering.
I would recommend some reading on the Reformed perspective on a marriage between a believer and an unbeliever.
For my 2 cents worth (I hope this helps), I keep trying to place the Lord above all earthly things in my life, including people, property, future plans, past regrets, hopes, dreams, my viewpoints on fairness, right and wrong, etc., etc.
I’m ever trying to do more closely what the Lord would have me do. Of course, I still fall short, but I’m making great progress. No matter how large something appears to loom in my life at present, down the road it all seems like it was not so bad as I thought and the hand of the most merciful God becomes apparent to me in good time. I’ve kind of grown accustomed to the good feeling that though I am in difficult straits at present, the Lord never abandons his own.
Prayers for your friend and blessings.
