I agree with you Hollie and Skylar both had the voices to win this. But I also think Joshua, Erika, Elise, Colton, or Shannon could have won it if they had been better song pickers each week. I wish Shannon would have made it further she has a real sultry quality voice that I enjoy from a female singer. Had she stuck to R&B and grab some stuff like the Temptations “Papa Was A Rolling Stone” or The O’jays “For The Love Of Money”I think she might have went further than she did.
Elise and Erika should have grabbed the Joss Stone, White Stripes, Stevie Ray Vaughan, Heart, Joan Jett, Led Zeppelin, & Rolling Stones songbook and went for it.
But with the exposure they all got on AI and the tour hopefully they will all have great careers. This industry is big enough for them to make it for for sure.
Shannon’s from Tampa and she’s got a really great voice. I liked a lot of them this year but usually the ones I like get the boot. Song selection this year killed a lot of contestants. I also think they could use a new director and conductor cuz things weren’t coordinated this year even though they had some of the best contestants they’ve had in a very long time - maybe their budget is lacking.
I quit IE for Firefox and it won’t ever let me get off the internet. lol I’m going to try again to close all these pesky windows. Goodnight. JLo did say something about “near year” so maybe she’s teasing about whether she’ll be back or not.
