Hi Jonny!!!
Hi, Peggy!! :)
Her idol is Miranda Lambert. Her song is "Gunpowder & Lead". Very good! I'm enjoying this.
Audience liked it too.
J-Lo: Unbridled, can't keep it in the can energy! You won over the crowd right now!
Steven: Skylar, that was over the top. Like you were singing to your old friend. So much Galveston in that. Beautiful!
Randy: I loved it. Remember you're telling a story. (compares her range to Carrie Underwood's)
Elise, Colton and Phillips Squared take the stage singing a medley of Stevie Nicks/Fleetwood Mac hits.
They include the Clinton '92 theme song "Don't Stop Thinking About Tomorrow".
But the highlight is Elise singing "Seventeen". That was a head-turner. For that alone:
Steven: I just had dinner with Mick Fleetwood and we talked about Stevie Nicks all night (yeah, I bet!--Mick is pissed Stevie won't reunite with the band so they can go on tour.)
Clearly realizing he acted like a jackass last week (see above photo), Heejun is all serious this week. There are even lenses in his glasses, LOL.
He sings "A Song For You."
It's actually not bad. He might have saved himself with this.
Steven: He-man, you did it! You turned it around. Just now you let that song sing you. You made it come alive in a way that no one else can. You keep it up because that was great.
J-Lo: What are you doing up there?? You don't make it this far by mistake. When you believe, when you let go, when you sing to us, you move people. That was beautiful.
Randy: There were a couple notes--it wasn't perfect. Beautiful tone. Finally the Heejun that we selected came back!
Heejun: (about his silly performance last week) I realize I was letting so many peole down. And I don't want to let myself down.
The judges and audience applaud that.
