This country is sounding more like Haiti every day. When our troops went there to work “New Horizon” construction projects in the ‘90s, mere minutes after the ribbon-cutting on a newly built structure, the locals would tear into it and strip it out of anything of value.
That seems to be the direction America is heading, IMO.

You will notice that it is not "this country" that sounds like Haiti but those regions of "this country" that look like Haiti.
