Has anybody fact-checked this besides TNE? There has to be an accounting somewhere out there since its tax payers moolah.
I’ve been teasing a leftie (on another site!) about this and she challenged me to an accounting. Turns out that there isn’t much on the ‘net to substantiate this claim - not that I let that stop me ;-)
The other thing I discovered was that the leftie sites won’t go near this with a 10-foot pole. DU, Huff&Puff, Politico, they all steer clear of it.
That makes me think they know it’s true.
