I have a soft spot for 80’s pop music, especially Duran Duran. I had a huge crush on them when I was a sophomore in high school! The crush is long gone, but I still like their early music. Their CDs do look a bit out of place alongside the Black Sabbath, Iron Maiden, Megadeth and Overkill stuff.

Sadly, there are many...but I’ll throw out just one.

I really have no use for Barry Manilow but I love the song “Weekend in New England” for some inexplicable reason.

Borderline by Madonna.

Reminds me of the end of senior year of high school.

Like nearly all pop/rock/soul music from the 70's, but not ashamed to admit that.

We have an oldies station in the Hudson Vly, that at times puts the “bubblegum music” and novelty tunes in heavy rotation. their slogan used to be “crank it up, embarass your kids”.
