The substitution of the dreadful Jonathan Bornstein in the Gold Cup and moving Lichaj at the same time was just ugly. The team’s play throughout the tournament was subpar.

Meanwhile, in the World Cup Bradley fielded teams that were continually either unready to play or populated by people who had no business being on the park such as Ricardo Clark and Robbie Findley.

Selections like those two, and the inclusion of Bornstein on the Gold Cup roster in the first place, go straight to competence in my mind.

I’d have dismissed Bradley after the World Cup, frankly, on the basis of his personnel decisions alone. The only problem is that Sunil Gulati gets to replace him.

Good points. Picking better personnel would have possibly given him a better defensive sub on the bench. IMO, Gulati needs to get replaced right along with Bradley, and the picking of our USMNT may want to stray outside of the ODP realm a bit. Some really good young players choose not to get involved with ODP. They are missing out on some great talent.
