One of the things we'd do was get a call from the coast guard that a trawler was coming into port. They'd spot them in their C-130's. We'd grab a 5th of whatever and take it down to the dock. We'd exchange a 5th to the fishermen and get king crab hand over fist. (The coast guard was always in on the cut, and rightly so...)
We ate like kings those days.
After eating Kingcrab like that then going to the market today and pay $16.00 a pound for 1 shank of a leg, shell weighed, not just the meat.
