A little hammy with the glass falling over, if you ask me.

And how do you account for what Bogart did to a great line like, “I remember every detail. The Germans wore gray; you wore blue.” He read it like a Chinese food menu.

The movie is so good, it’s STILL a great line. But no thanks to Mr. Bacall.

I thought the tipped drink was perfect! So was Bogey as the man’s man with the shattered heart. I don’t think any other actor could’ve pulled it off. Any how, the whole picture is corny — that’s it’s genius!
