We aren't exactly in suburbia, but there are plenty of woods near most of the additions to town. Some very woody, and some just woody enough to be a nusiance with all of the forest type inhabitants.
Most of the places that have had pets taken/killed by the coyotes have more woods than we do, however, I know that there is at least one living in our area - saw him/her with my own two eyes. Off and on we also hear them. Eerie.
