Hi Jem and all. No rest yesterday or today but things are going well.

The reception was a big success, hall looked beautiful (if I do say so myself). Everybody had a good time.

There was lots to put away and clean up yesterday and today was a traveling day. So no rest, but sometimes exhaustion is a wonderful thing and makes a person sleep extra deeply at night.

Tomorrow we’re in one place but travel again Wednesday.

Life in the fast lane! Generally, I find clean-up at least as tiring as the party itself. It doesn’t surprise me that the hall looked nice. You put a lot of yourself into it and so, of course, it was good. Did your parents enjoy it?

Enjoy your day of rest tomorrow.

Yes, everybody that attended had a great time. Parents-in-law enjoyed themselves a lot.

Good morning! I think we had a bit of rain last night. There are indications of a drip on the terrace. We got the blueberries netted yesterday ... in the nick of time. The birds tend to leave them alone until they rippen. There are several purplish berries on the bushes. We should be picking in the next several days to a week.

It is a gorgeous day here with a chance of rain later in the day.

Toby, I hope your eye is better.

Is this your first grandaughter? Euroasian girls are beautiful people, you’ll have to watch her like a hawk when she is grown. Congratulations for the new “stock” to your family.

Toby, I hope by this time you’ve seen a Dr about your eye and all is right with the eye now.

Ignore previous post. I got you mixed up with The Raven, who is on “baby watch.”

Hello everyone, things here in Eastern New Mexico are getting worse. Over last weekend a huge fire broke out up on plains. 20,000 acres of grassland burned, houses and barnes, lots of livestock. Just horrible to watch, hold hands and cry. We were fortunate, but know it could happen at any time. We are still hauling water and praying for rain. Must run, as my job today is check water and calves in 4 pastures. Pray for rain in southwest. Denco

Oh denco, those fires are horrible. I’ve been thinking of the livestock, they will be hard to replace. We’re praying for rain, for you and for us too.

Tomorrow will be another day that I particularly avoid ALL NEWS, even though I do it every day, in the ENDLESS DAYS of avoiding ALL news AT ALL COSTS, ONLY getting my news from the conservative talk shows and FR, as is every day, to avoid hearing the INCESSANT GUSHING over that accursed, Hellish name that is heard worldwide thousands and thousands, HUNDRED of thousands, and MILLIONS of times a day ALL OVER THE PLANET, and drives me into a certain Hell that at times wonder if I will survive.

The breakfast was awesome today. But even with that, God, please help us.

There is a lot to be said for going into the desert or fishing by a lake.

Caligula is speaking yet again tonight.

Good morning! Good morning! I’m posting to you all from a delightfully Soggy South. We started getting rain, I think, on Sunday and we’ve had good soaking rains the last two days. Yay! Yippeee! That is exactly what we need. It is cloudy and drippy at the moment. I hope it will be another rain today. We had a severe drought last summer and we are still behind in the rain totals to replenish the water table.

On another topic, our Auburn Oaks are not looking good. It appears, at the moment, that evil and hate has won in this instance. Although Auburn University is a fairly conservative college and Auburn a conservative town, we do like our gardens and 130-year old oaks are treasured. Yes, I am an Auburn Tree Hugger.

What has happened to that loser that poisoned the oaks?

Good morning everybody.

Denco, we are shocked at the drought in S. CO. It looks like it ought to be September, not late June. So sorry to read about the fire and lose of property to your neighbors, hope you can escape the threat until the rains come....which they inevitably will.

Do they know what started the fire? The one at Raton Pass was from a cigarette thrown from a car on I-25, is the thinking. Why is the world full of such fools??

And I have to agree with McCain on one thing. Fires started by illegals.

That loser is wending his way through the court system. I’m not sure what the progress of the case is.

Denco, prayers for rain for y’all. Hauling water is hard work.
