IIRC, he's been sentenced to some hard time. Even though he can be a pompous ass from time to time, he certainly has a zest for discovery. His comment that all Egyptian artifacts, regardless of ownership and present location, should be returned to Egypt was a little over the top IMHO.
Could we in the U.S. lay claim to all Clovis points that have moved offshore?
