All of his stuff is good, but “You Had it Coming” is probably JB’s best work IMO.
Heck, throw Clapton and Page in and make it something really special....;)
Cozy Powell is gone, as well
Of interest?
Like I'm going to listen to Keith Richards telling me to stop drinking.
¡Agreed!
bump for later

I can barely listen to Jeff Beck anymore, his radio show
goes off into odd directions and he seems too emotional
about everything. It’s off-putting.
I’ve only seen clips of his Fox TV show, but what’s up
with the chalkboard? What’s up, he’s some kind of professor?
What?
JEFF Beck? Jeff..?
Oh, nevermind.
LOL! Over the holidays during a family supper my brother and I (we were in high school during the 70’s) started talking about Jeff Beck. My sister (10 years younger) thought we were talking about Glenn Beck until she realized we were talking about a guitar player.
I'll wait and see.
Beck, Clapton & Page playing Heart Full of Soul. That would be special.
Blow by Blow was one of the best albums ever recorded.
Me and my lonesome musta wore out about three copies.
I have it on CD, did they ever do a complete digital remastering of it?
Brings back memories, that’s for sure!
Funny, cause I recently had a gal ping me on FB to be friends... a gal who used to listen to it with me when she slept over... 35 years and 3000 miles away.
;-)
The Jeff Beck Group - Truth
The Jeff Beck Group - Beck-ola
Good stuff - recommended if you like Led Zeppelins first 2 albums.
Beck can still play.
Your scared me for a second, I thought it was Jon Stewart and Glenn Beck reunion. Dyslexia can lead to heart attack. :-)
Same at Amazon for less.
My copy says digitally mastered. Can't remember how long ago I bought it - decades.
Let me know if the remaster sounds that much better. I'm pretty happy with my copy.
Well, ......Rock My Plimsoul!
It is said that Parsons had a noticeable influence on "Exile", as well as the previous album, "Let It Bleed", where the song "Country Honk" was styled by Parsons during their mixing sessions in Los Angeles.
Tragically, Parsons over dosed in the Joshua Tree area and later his friends high-jacked his body and took his corpse out to the desert there and lit it afire to fulfill Parson's request. I think that story was made into a film.
Parsons's himself, single handily birthed the alt country movement with his "Cosmic American Music" they blending of country and rock and roll. To listen to Gram Parson's work with the Byrds and early Flying Burrito Brothers and you can see why there is the movement to include him in the Country Music Hall of Fame.
On a side note, to replace Mick Taylor the Stones auditioned quite a few guitarists, including "The World's Best Unknown Guitarist", Roy Buchanan.
