I don't know. Don't think I've seen Ophiuchus before.

Ophiuchus: Nov. 29-Dec. 17

That is the name of the "serpent bearer" constellation in the sky, it does intrude into the Zodiac plane so there are some who do believe that there are 13 signs instead of 12.

Ophiuchus was added. While never part of the zodiac proper it has been included as an astrological indicator in the past. I doubt charlatans fortune tellers will change their method of divination to include modern astronomical observation.

When they standardized the constellations in 1928, they put the ecliptic going through Ophiuchus. It looks like Theta Ophiuchi is the big troublemaker, and it has an old style name, so the trouble started a very long time ago.

Yes, this star was called Theta Ophiuchi as early as 1889, in Star Names by Richard Hinckley Allen.

I think they could have put this piece of the ecliptic into Scorpio or Sagittarius and preserved the 12 constellations.

Until recently, Ophiuchus was not included in standard astrological zodiacs, which divide the ecliptic into abstract 30-degree segments (implying exactly 12 signs) rather than using the physical constellations, with only a few astrologers using a sidereal zodiac use it as the 13th zodiacal sign.

Could be the sign of the anti-christ?

The 13th zodiac - Ophiuchus

This constellation is considered the 13th zodiac sign but for some reason it has been omitted from modern astronomy. This zodiac is said to rise up and be positioned directly over the sun for the first time in the last days.

1. This sign is called the “serpent - bearer” and is a man holding a serpent.
2. The sign is direct opposite from Orion.
3. This sign represents healing, medicine, and immortality (the medical field today uses the serpent).

Now we know a future man which speaks like a dragon serpent will come upon the earth performing miracles and offering everlasting life. So is there a connection with the rising of Ophiuchus and the man of sin or mere coincidence??

Ophiuchus - the serpent holder.

13 constellations on the ecliptic.

They added a new one, kind of an affirmative action sign.

Unfortunately, I’m still stuck with Virgo. Although my daughter keeps trying to tell me that only people born after 2009 get the new sign dates, the rest of us are stuck with our old ones.
