Hate to think of that. In southern New York we had a colder than average December but January is so far looking like it will be milder than average.
We’ve had more snow and colder temps this year than the past few years.
But it has been a lot colder. Too cold for cars to start. Even with a pan of burning diesel fuel placed under the oil pan to try to warm it up.
We did have one year where it was so cold the birds were falling out of trees froze dead.
But I have a wood stove and it is cranked. It is nice penetrating heat.
The only bad part is I have to smoke outside. It is 80 degrees in the house. -10 outside. Facing that 90 degree difference just for a drag is, well, stupid.
