You will be wise to vote “No” on all judges unless you know them or of them personally. The reason we have so many bad judges and they stay on the bench for their entire lives, is people go into the voting booth knowing nothing about them and vote “yes.” To do that is beyond stupid.

And any other elections and items on the ballot you know nothing about it is best to leave them blank.

Before the 2000 election debacle in Florida, I was under the impression I had to make a choice on every single item on the ballot. Because of all those hanging chads and certain people trying to imply a vote when none was there, I learned a lot about how to vote.

I must have made some terrible mistakes before that time but I try not to think about it. Now, if I don’t know, I either leave it blank or vote no (which is usually a safe vote—not always, but usually). Like right now, I know nothing about any of the city council members so I’m leaving that blank unless I learn something in the next couple weeks.

We’re all in the same boat.

Vote NO on all of them. Judge ships in California are a favorite payoff to defeated or termed out politicians
