I think it’s a good idea to fly *both* the US flag and the Gadsden flag.

The message it gives is both “I love my country”, and “The government is not the country”.

Importantly, I put it this way, because it is inaccurate to say that the Gadsden flag represents the message that “But I don’t trust my government”. Certainly the government needs to be restored to order, but this should be done with the spirit of returning them to constitutional order—not revolution.

But restoring the government to order means first, that we must all realize that the government is *not* the country. We, the People, are the country. And because We choose for the government to run part of it, it does *not* mean that they are in charge.

They work for us, and they are supposed to follow the instructions written down in the constitution. And though they have “gotten too big for their britches”, we just need to get them back on track to doing what they are supposed to do.

This isn’t revolutionary. It is just reminding them who is boss.

So U.S. flag and Gadsden flag. Together again.

I don’t see any Mexican flags around here in Garland except on the back windows of trucks with blue headlights. I fly Old Glory and the Lone Star every day if it isn’t raining, which exempts the last couple of days.

Both will be on proud display again tomorrow since TS Hermine has finally fizzled. I put ‘em up in the AM, I take them down around dusk. It’s sort of a thing with me, seems important to our heritage.

Get flags and fly them because it matters to those of us who realize what they mean.

Except for memorial day I have stopped. I will put it out Sat. If I had a flag pole it would be flown upside down until this disaster is resolved.

I might add, in my neck of the woods (mid MO), I’m seeing more and more Rebel Flags; on cars, trucks and on flag poles.
